Rail Contractor

At Covanburn we have considerable experience in rail infrastructure projects and we work regularly with Network Rail to support their railway maintenance works.

Our specialist civil engineering expertise means that we can provide maintenance, repair and refurbishment assistance from tracks to platforms, bridges and service buildings.

Rail Platforms

We have worked extensively on a variety of platform rebuild and resurfacing projects, including replacement and adjusting of copes for new train gauging. Safety is paramount, and we understand that when it comes to station construction and maintenance, the project must be delivered to the highest possible standards.

Railway Footbridges

A number of the rail projects awarded to Covanburn have involved the refurbishment of railway footbridges which both improves the appearance of the station and prolongs the life of the structures. The scope of this work includes; preparation of all steelwork, temporary diversion of existing services, steelwork survey and repair, and painting of all steelwork.

Level Crossings

As a result of the work undertaken through our framework with Network Rail, we have been involved on several projects that have included maintenance work on level crossings.
