Covanburn Welcome Primary Pupils to Ravenscraig Site
The Site Team at Covanburn Contracts welcomed pupils from Our Lady and St. Francis Primary School to North Lanarkshire Council’s Ravenscraig Active Travel Links Phase 2 project last week. The trip enabled the children to learn more about construction sites, machinery used and the various roles involved. Project Manager Kieran Pugh also ensured the pupils were aware of all the Health and Safety aspects needed when on a site. The highlights for the pupils were trying out different methods of measuring and watching the diggers.
The project will create new safe and attractive routes for cycling, walking and wheeling into and through Ravenscraig whilst protecting and enhancing the existing ecology.
