The famous Humpback Bridge over River Kelvin in Glasgow’s West End dates back to 1908 and is admired for both its appearance and its location. The Humpback Bridge is an absolutely iconic piece of bridge engineering in the heart of Glasgow’s beautiful West End. Built in 1908 by Orr, Watt & Co, and restored more than 100 years later by Covanburn Contracts. Great engineering lasts through generations and the engineers of the future have the greatest of respect for the engineers of the past. Working on structures like the Humpback Bridge is always an honour.
