A rainy Monday morning did not stop the pupils from St Leonard’s PS, East Kilbride from getting their wellies on and getting outdoors.

Twenty three pupils from Primary 1 – 7 planted over 150 bulbs at the newly regenerated Glen Esk Park, East Kilbride for the locals to enjoy in the Spring.

After the planting, the pupils enjoyed a tour around the site and were able to see the outdoor classroom which they can enjoy on future visits with the school.

Stuart Robertson (Glen Esk Project Manager) said, ” Covanburn were delighted to welcome the local children to the site for the bulb planting and for being a part of creating this fantastic asset which the whole community will benefit from. The children were great ambassadors for their school.”
