Requirements

Funding was secured from West Dunbartonshire Council’s Capital Investment Plan to revamp Inler Park, Haldane. The improvements were part of a larger Council investment to improve parks and open spaces.

The works comprised of environmental improvements to the existing public park. Works included new sports pitches and associated fencing, pedestrian hard surfacing, drainage, furniture installation, lighting installation and soft landscaping.

Approach

The works comprised:

  • Site clearance including trees, removal of existing play equipment/outdoor furniture
  • Bitmac path installation
  • Aco drainage installation
  • Installation of sports fencing and gates
  • Installation of notts carpet
  • Laying of wet pour surfacing
  • Block paving installation
  • Installation of trim trail and play equipment
  • Outdoor furniture installation
  • Installation of electrical works
  • Tree and shrub planting

Result

The community saw the completion of the park as part of a larger Council investment in improving the parks and open spaces.

Through this Council investment, the community came together to give their input into the improvements at Inler Park thus improving their community facilities and those of future generations.
